Zhurrat Reviews is a book blog where, amongst other things, I review some of the books I read. I am developing it into a space that celebrates reading. I read a wide range of genres as well as literary fiction, but focus on reviewing books from the Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Futuristic Paranormal genres on this blog. Other books may sneak in where I feel a review is warranted.
I have a passion for well-written stories, whether they’re published commercially or by the authors themselves. This blog was originally intended to be a platform for authors of science fiction romance to have their stories reviewed, and the majority of the authors of that genre are indie publishers. As it turns out, many of the stories I currently review are indie-published, but I have not stuck to the SFR genre.
I read books I have collected myself as well as books I receive from authors or publishers in exchange for an honest review. I do not charge for writing reviews. Reviews are shared here on Zhurrat Reviews, Goodreads, Amazon (in the case of new releases), Netgalley (where relevant), Facebook and Twitter.
Occasionally I may call in another reviewer to review a book I’m unable to review due to being the editor of that book, but that I wish to have on this blog as representative of what I read.
